THE CASE OF THE ALLEGED ILLEGAL CONSPIRACY IN RESTRAINT OF TRADE IN WASHOE COUNTY

Representing Barry Frank, M.D., a pediatric intensivist, Mr. Cashill filed suit against RENOWN and various physicians alleging that RENOWN and certain members of its management team, and certain nurses, conspired together to restrain trade and create a monopoly by interfering with Dr. Frank’s contracts with the hospital, causing the termination of those contracts, libeling Dr. Frank, and engaging in a concerted refusal to deal with him in violation of the Nevada Unfair Trade Practices Act. Following mediation the case was resolved on confidential terms, with the Defendants denying all wrong doing.
